Chicho y juana seminario: parola d'ordine: comunicazione ⇒ intenzione e connessione.

Un piccolo capannone ristrutturato, con una pavimento lucido simil legno e al fondo grandi specchi, circa 25 coppie di nazionalità variegata e una coppia di riferimento, il centro propulsore del progetto: Chicho y Juana. Un obiettivo: entrare e sperimentare i meccanismi più profondi del tango, avanzare, portare avanti i nuovi strumenti e concretizzarli in un seme di cambiamento verso l'essenza, sotto la superficie, dentro la forma.

Gli esercizi proposti ci impegnano a metterci in gioco su un altro piano, il lavoro ci coinvolge come gruppo e, spesso come ci ricorda Chicho, l'obiettivo in molte situazioni non è la tecnica ma la comunicazione.. o forse la comunicazione è la tecnica nel tango!!?? Io inizio sempre da cosa il corpo mi dice invece che da come il corpo si muove, ma le strade si uniscono laddove non abbiamo coscienza di cosa il nostro corpo comunica veramente e dobbiamo comprenderlo, rendendoci conto di come davvero lo muoviamo!

Partiamo dall'abbraccio e ci ritroviamo a ballare a metri di distanza tra le coppie di tutti per poi tornare al Nostro Abbraccio e a un nuovo e più autentico modo di ballare vicini.
Ci ritroviamo ad occhi chiusi per aprirli alla luce nuova della nostra coscienza e incontrarci davvero, tutti con tutti profondamente.. che forza!!! Forse anche tanta paura e disorientamento ma nel fondo una essenza meravigliosa, prepotente, ruggisce fuori dai nostri occhi e i nostri cuori: ci siamo, siamo presenti e siamo in comunicazione!

Chicho y Juana's workshop: password communication => intent and connection.

A small renovated shed, with a shiny wood-like floor and big wall mirrors at the back of it, about 25 couples from different countries and one couple of reference, the propulsion centre of the project: Chicho y Juana. One goal: to get inside and test the deepest mechanisms of tango, to advance, to put strain on the new tools  and embody them in a seed of change towards the core, under the surface, inside the form.

The exercises proposed by Chicho and Juana lead us to put ourselves at stake on a different plan, the work involves us as a group and, as Chicho reminds us, the goal is not technique but communication...or maybe communication itself is technique in tango!!?? I always start from what the body says to me instead of how the body moves, but all approaches blend where we have no awareness of what the body actually communicates, and at this point, the only choice we have is to understand and become aware of how we truly move it.

At the beginning we move from the embrace, then we find ourselves dancing meters far away, in the midst of all couples, and finally we come back to Our Embrace as well as to a new and more real way to dance close to each other.

We find ourselves with our eyes closed so that we may now open them to the light of a new awareness and really meet each other, each of us with everybody else... what a strenght, maybe a good deal of anxiety, and a sort of bewilderment but, deep inside, a wonderful essence, urgent, roaring out of our eyes and our hearts: we are here, we are present and we are in touch!
